1. You can be a total beginner artist

A lot of people are nervous about painting, especially people that have never tried to draw or paint before or people who have received criticism in the past from a teacher or family member. I’ve seen this scenario play out hundreds of times at my studio but with a little encouragement and a few wet brush strokes on canvas, the nerves and stress begin to melt away, leaving you with the ability to freely create.

2. You do not need to be able to draw

You read correctly! You do not need to draw because we supply the tracer stencil for you to use on your canvas. All you need to do is download and print out the tracer stencil. You may need to resize the print on an app (we show you how) or printer depending on the canvas size you are working on. Then you just pop some carbon paper on top of your canvas and trace your design onto it. And there you have it – a canvas with your template drawn on and ready to paint.

3. You do not need to spend a lot of money on your tools and equipment

For every painting, you will be provided with a supply list. The supply list usually has 3 types of paint brushes – flat, round and a liner brush as well as a variety of acrylic paints. You can purchase a variety of colours or you can choose to make every colour you need with just 5 tubes of paint – red, yellow, blue, black and white. Other than that, you just need your canvas, a jar for water, a paper towel to wipe your brush and a paint palette that can be as simple as a paper plate.

4. Use your own supplies or have a kit delivered to your door

There are different ways in which you can do a Virtual Paint and Sip session. You can either use the supplies you already have at home or you can go all in and have everything you need for the painting, including the canvas, delivered directly to your home or workplace. Paint kits are sold separately and are available on the membership page of most courses or on the website. We can send kits for up to 3 people in one box with free postage. 5. Perfect for individuals, groups of friends or date nights

Whether you are painting by yourself or plan on painting with a group of friends, Virtual Paint and Sip sessions allow you to be flexible run things at your own pace. You have time to chat with the girls, pour more wine and stop the video whenever you feel like a break. You can stop and start as many times as you wish.
